The 2023 Yamaha R15 MotoGP Edition has made its debut in the Indian market, with a price tag of Rs 1,97,200 (ex-showroom, India). This positions it as a premium offering, costing Rs 1,500 more than the R15 M model.
While the motorcycle shares its foundation with the R15 M, it has undergone a remarkable transformation with graphics and livery inspired by Yamaha's renowned MotoGP machine, the Yamaha M1.
This black-themed motorcycle now features fresh blue and grey color schemes on its fairing, prominently displaying the Monster logo at its center.
The Monster branding is also prominently featured on both the front and rear sections of the bike. Beyond these aesthetic enhancements, the R15 MotoGP edition maintains parity with the R15 M in terms of its core features and specifications.
Under the hood, the 2023 Yamaha R15 MotoGP edition retains the same 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, producing a robust 18.1bhp and 14.2Nm of torque.
Furthermore, it continues to offer a comprehensive suite of features, including a quick-shifter, traction control, ride modes, and dual-channel ABS as standard equipment.
